Great Monitor - Great Price

The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this monitor! Excellent value with Samsung quality.
Found this Samsung 2343 monitor at my local Micro Center for under $200 - I am very happy with it so far - it is huge and very crisp and clear. I previously had a 17" LCD screen and this monitor is at least 25% bigger.
I had some problem in setting up the monitor as the stand did not want to go into it's assigned slot initially. I had to man-handle it a bit but it eventually settled into place. The monitor came with both DVI and VGA cables. There are no USB slots in the monitor base.
One drawback is the odd native resolution (2048x1152) - most of the games I play do not have this option, so it masks the screen a bit. Not a big deal, really. I also have to sit back farther from the screen now but that's not an issue either. Other resolutions look okay with my Radeon ATI 4770 card but not as good as the native resolution.
However, for Photoshop and other graphics-based applications, it has been wonderful! I imagine it would be great for publishing applications, too: Although I haven't tried it, I have heard that the resolution is at that level to allow for two side-by-side 100% zoom pages (8.5" x 11") in a Word document to be on-screen. Wow.
