How a Good Magazine can go Bad!

When I first started to read this magazine in the mid-1990's, it contained lots of good exciting stories and how-to information to fish for Salmon Trout and Steelhead in the Northwest. As the 1990s went on it progressively became worse. By 2000, it has become mostly political fodder, rhetoric, and how to information with very little stories. What happened to the art of story telling? The stories used be adventurous and captivating, but eventually the majority of the stories became more about techniques than about the experience.

I feel that this magazine has lost its touch with the average fisherman. Other magazines such as Outdoor Life or Field and Stream give fisherman a well balanced look at all the facets of fishing, i.e. stories, politics, opinions and how to info.
