Good for kids

I received this as a Christmas gift. The camera itself is cute.It is also good for carrying around due to its compact size. Its great for when you have the spur of the moment pictures that you just want a quick laugh at at. It isn't for taking pictures that you want to keep and cherish for years to come. The picture quality isn't that great. It has a screen for reviewing pictures, USB output for uploading to your computer and is terrible on battery life.You can use it as a web cam but once again the quality isn't good at all and it seems to freeze often while attempting to broadcast. I would recommend this as a gift for children that like to take pictures or for someone that just wants to say that they have a "digital camera". This isn't for everyday use and isn't what you may be looking for if taking good quality pictures. It has no settings flash, landscape general picture taking, sport, close up, portrait or night portrait. However you can scan through the pictures you have saved in the camera. The batteries went dead in my camera and erased all pictures I took while at a birthday party. I took extra batteries they went dead as well during the course of a 2 1/2 hour child's party. Needless to say as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. So expect to get not so great photos and a camera with a short battery life.
