Very nice for the price!

I just purchased these speakers after reading both the positive and negative reviews posted here. [...] The money was well spent. The sound output from the cheap headphone jack of my laptop is prodigious. The room I listen in is 130 sq. ft (10 x 13) and for this size room the volume level is sufficient to fill the room but not shake the walls. For wall shaking you have to spend quite a bit more.

I have a corner desk and the woofer is situated in the corner. In this location there is more than enough bass output. I actually have to turn down the bass just past the halfway detent just to keep the bass under control. The satellites are located at the corners of the desk for a nice wide stereo separation (about 5 feet).

I was considering spending more, but why? There are definitely better speakers out there for the discerning audiophile ear. But these babies definitely do the job and quite well I may add! For the money, I think they are an outstanding value.

Imagine the sound quality if I were to pop for a SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card for my laptop and hook the creatures up to that. That is my next purchase.
