A must have for bath time!

I got this seat for 40.00. My husband nearly fell over when he saw how much i paid for it and what it was.

Our son is a big boy, and at 4 months he weighs close to 20 lbs already. I am only 100 lbs and it can be quite a trick trying to lean over and hold him in the tub, but the sink just isn't working anymore.

This seat is perfect! I love that it hooks securely to the edge of the tub! It works on a spring loaded system that allows the plastic to form to the width of your tub and it does not move unless you want it to. While I can imagine it doesn't fit all tubs, it probably fits most because it is made to adjust itself. I bathe my 5 year old and my 5 month old together, so it is vital to us that we leave enough room in the tub for my 5 year old to play. I was worried that the end of the tub would be a hard fit because of the curve but it fits perfectly! Also, there is plenty of room to wash baby without getting your hands stuck but it isn't so much room and baby will be able to climb out.

The seat rotates to make washing easier but it can also be locked easily to prevent swiveling. The place where the baby sits sinks down when baby is placed in the seat which triggers something in the ring to move, creating less leg space so baby can't slip through. This is much better that the flimsy suction cup ones I have had in the past. The elbow pad is nice and soft too!

I have found that the whole system is rather bulky and tough to store. I have a towel rack in my bathroom directly above the tub which I am able to hook this too to dry and keep it out of the way. However, this is not a light seat and hanging it on a towel rack that isn't secure enough would probably break your towel rack.

All in all, I would say that this is MUCH better than the alternatives and well worth the money. It is strong and durable, not unattractive, and a great help in bathing!
