Pros: Safe, sturdy, secure, convenient, great added features, great price, easy to install

Cons: Makes loud noise when you lock/unlock it.

The Bottom Line: Great product. It is convenient, safe, affordable and unique. There are no other gates that I have come across like it.

Pros: Strong metal gate, decent latching system, motion light is a nice touch.

Cons: Weak plastic hinge hardware. When internal spring breaks it can't be fixed.  Unsympathetic product support

The Bottom Line: Best solution I've seen for keeping small children safe around stairs.  Not perfect, though.
