Comfortable and functional at very reasonable price

Date of Review:  May 12, 2006
The Bottom Line: If you can figure out the initial installation, you will be more than satisfied with the results. But the installation will test your faith in humanity!!!
Review: My daughter was about 4 months old when I developed a crick in my neck and a torn rotator cuff from constant turning around at red lights to put the pacifier in her mouth so she would stop crying. (Ok, so I exaggerated, it only FELT like a crick in...

Ready for an exercise in Frustration?

Date of Review:  Jul 9, 2005
The Bottom Line: Pass on this one... not worth the hassle
Review: Purchased this car seat for my three year old child. The seat is billed as a car seat for children in that age and weight class (30 lbs) between a carseat and soon a booster. After purchasing the item from Toys R Us... took it home and opened the...

NOT my favorite - frustrating to deal with!

Date of Review:  Dec 12, 2006
The Bottom Line: I don't recommend this seat very often. I feel it is too overpriced for what it is and has too many installation issues.
Review: WHY I PURCHASED THE SAFETY 1ST INTERA:
My 3 yr old daughter was formerly forward facing in an Evenflo Triumph, but I began researching extended rear facing. I found out there were car seats that could be used rear facing up to 35 lbs (she was...

Keep Shopping!

Date of Review:  Oct 30, 2006
Review: Whoever engineered this seat clearly has never had children nor had to contend with the issues of multiple vehicles in transporting infants. The procedure for threading the seat belt through the seat in infant (rear-facing) position, requires...

Not worth the money

Date of Review:  May 31, 2007
The Bottom Line: Definitely don't buy this seat. It's a waste of money and does not do an adequate job of keeping a child safe. You'll get no assistance from customer service.
Review: About the Car Seat:

This is a 4-in-1 Car seat. It can be used:
Rear facing 5-30lb
Forward facing with the base and harness for 22-40lb
Forward facing booster with back
Forward facing booster without back.

Safety 1st Intera 5-point 4-in-1

Date of Review:  Apr 20, 2007
The Bottom Line: Bottom Line-this is a wonderful carseat. I would recommend it to anyone that asks.
Review: I was originally given this carseat as a shower gift for my oldest son (2 years old now) and loved it. At the time we were driving an extended cab pickup and with the base it was impossible to reach him when he was rear-facing, but without the base...

Nice seat, but not as durable as it should be for the price

Date of Review:  Apr 19, 2007
The Bottom Line: I mentioned this in my review, but I would recommend the seat only if it were less expensive. The quality is not high enough to justify the price I paid.
Review: I am something of a baby gear addict. I own, or have researched, just about every piece of baby gear out there. So it was not a decision I made lightly when I chose this seat for my then-20-month-old son.

The things I liked:
1. As you...
