The Royal Company should be ashamed !

Very sad to say this is my 'second' Royal Shredder that has had the same problem. I only used it a couple of days each week for about 5 minutes or less at a time . Works great in the first eight to twelve months, but eventually it just wears out. The mechanism turns but it won't pull the paper in.

The first Royal shredder I had (which was a very similar model)had the same symptoms, and upon opening the unit I found that the gears were stripped....this one has the same problem! In each case this happened when the shredder was just beyond the one year warranty period (of course).

They should sell these shredders with a pack of replaceable gears, because they definitely will strip with just normal use.
