Awful Shredder

I see that I'm not alone in being very disappointed with this shredder. It sounds like I've got the exact same problem reported in other reviews -- the gears appear to be hopelessly stripped after very light usage for a few months. Unfortunately, much to my dismay, I bought this unit several years ago but didn't get around to using it until about 6 months ago. Alas, the warranty is up, and to be truthful, I don't want the same machine as replacement because it's bound to do the same thing. I paid what I consider alot of money for this unit, and I expected it to last longer than a few months. Very, very disappointed. Refuse to buy Royal shredders again.
