Huge Disappointment

This was my second Rowenta iron. My first on worked for about a year and then the control mechanism broke off in my hand. Friends told me Rowenta was a great product and I must have just had a lemon so I tried this model. I used this iron for only 6 months. Yesterday, I was ironing when suddenly I heard a loud pop and the small plastic piece that holds the plate to the iron snapped into two pieces. That's it! I will not buy another Rowenta product. As soon as the 6 month warrenty expires, so does the iron!
