I had used a Rowenta Powerglide before and was very happy with it's performance. Come to think of it, the spray button was no longer working.

This iron, the Rowenta Effective was purchase new and returned within 2 months. The auto steam sliding button was not functioning properly. The sliding button would not stay on auto steam and would return to the off position on it's own. The cord reel required two hand operation to help feed it in.

These were supposed to be the best irons available...
