Rowenta DG5030 Will Spoil You From Conventional Irons!

Date of Review:  Jun 16, 2009
The Bottom Line:

The Rowenta DG5030 steam generator is a capable solution to ironing day woes!

Review: Rowenta has emerged as a major player in the small appliance market. While I have heard dissenting opinions on their products, generally most folks are pleased with their irons and steam generators. I first came upon their steam generators years ago...

Best Iron I Have Ever Owned Period.

Date of Review:  Mar 7, 2007
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this iron because of its professional results, and its ability to cut down on ironing time. Lots of steam for a long period of time.
Review: The DG5030 is the newest model in the line of Rowenta steam generators. It replaces the older model numbers DG580/980.

I have never owned a steam generator before, but I always wanted one. They seemed to be a bit too much money to spend on...

Save time and the environment, steam press, don't dry clean

Date of Review:  Nov 22, 2009
The Bottom Line: If you wear business clothes, this will pay for itself in under a year. And it saves on dry cleaning fluids for you and the environment.
Review: Introduction:

This type of pressure steam iron with reservoir has been available in Europe for quite some decades. For one thing, their 220 volt electric power means that water heats four times as fast as with 120 volt (two times the...

Love Steam Generator Irons....

Date of Review:  Jul 30, 2007
The Bottom Line: Works as promised. A few design flaws, but workable still. A steam generator is the ONLY way to iron!
Review: ....and after using one for the past 3 years I CANNOT stand to iron with any other type of iron. I tried...twice...ACK!

I've been using the Rowenta DG980 until this past week when it suddenly decided to stop pumping water from the...

Rowenta disappoints

Date of Review:  Nov 30, 2009
The Bottom Line: Don't do it!  Get something else, anything else.  Even if you get paid to take it, DON'T!!!
Review: This is my third Rowenta ironing product.  The other two were just regular irons, but they started spitting and leaking after only a couple of years.  One of them after only a few months.  I wanted something that would not do that.  While shopping...

Not Bad if You Don't Mind Fumes

Date of Review:  Feb 5, 2008
The Bottom Line: Try to find an older model & let Rowenta know they made a greedy mistake. Bring back the steel boiler! Have some integrity!
Review: Rowenta replaced the old--and terrific--580 model with the 5030. The difference? The old one had a stainless-steel boiler and the new one has a PLASTIC boiler. Rowenta saved themselves a few bucks, but the consumer gets a product that: (a) will wear...

Regret to buy Rowenta instead of Delonghi

Date of Review:  Sep 13, 2007
Review: I visited my brother in France and happened to
use his Delonghi steam and pressure Iron. I have never
seen such powerful iron before. It straightened out my
cotton shirt and skirt effortlessly. It took me only
minutes to finish...

DRIPS,DRIPS, DRIPS!!

Date of Review:  Sep 3, 2008
Review: I have tried 2 now and am getting ready to return this one!

It spits all the time and not at all as good as the Rowenta DG-980 - I have a custom drapery business - Please, Rowenta go back to the better, older model.

There is a learning curve

Date of Review:  May 26, 2009
Review: I read the reviews of this iron before buying and decided to give it a try.  I've always been frustrated that regular irons, at any price, don't give me enough STEAM.  A few years ago I decided to begin ironing all of our shirts at home instead of...

Review: This is our first steam iron.  We have had it for a month now and wouldn't trade it for 50 of the old conventional irons!  Seriously, this thing is awesome. Heres three reasons why I love the Rowenta 5030:

First and foremost, it get's the...
