A tank, very classy SUV
Pros:
Looks snooty, great in snow, "can do anything" feel
Cons:
Poor body design (rust) expensive to maintain over the years, poor gas mileage
The Bottom Line:
If you ahve the money to maintain and can afford the gas, do it. You need a garage too to keep out of weather.

Author's Review
I bought this Rover with 124,000 in it and had it for 2 years. I sold it last October with 156,000 miles on it. It was a county SWB. The repairs I did on it were as follows, Both belt tensioners, complete overhaul on the stereo reciever & CD changer ($400), A/C overhaul ($1,500) A/C terrible on these, oil pan gasket, valve cover gaskets, rear main seal ($900), temp. sensor, brakes, and belts, wires, distributor/rotor, and some hoses. I spent around $6,000 in maintenance in 2years owning this vehicle. However, in snow you'll feel like you are king of the road! Very solid. Very unique. A real headturner. If you have the money to invest to keep it on the road go for it, buy this SUV. If you are just looking for a great SUV to last you a long time, buy a Landcruiser! The built quality/design was terrible on these too because unless you garage it, rain drips off the vehicle in weird directions and where the water falls, leaves drainage stains evenually in the paint and rust in the tailgate and inside the doors! Look for rust everywhere before purchasing! The engine I feel would last a good 300,000 miles but you will need to do maintenance to keep it in top condition to get there! Wuold I purchase another one? No. I don't think it was worth it at all. They are very hard to sell too. I lost my butt in value vs. money invested. Unless you plan on keeping it for a long time and making it your 2nd wife, use good judgement!
