Romantic Means Elegance At Its Best

I recently received a couple complimentory issues of Romantic Homes. This magazine has got to have some of the most beautiful interiors I have ever seen. Some are a little extravagent and unreasonable, but the elegance is still there. Though this is not really my style it is my mothers and I bought a subscription for her.

The contents is easy to read. You open up to the first page of the magazine and it shows you what is in the issue. The features, special features, and what is in every issue are the three split sections.

This magazine is a combination of old world charm/victorian and shabby chic. The combinations can be great or disasterous depending on how cluttered a person has it.The August issue shows you how to make attractive window boxes,as well as how to dress up a gazebo.

There is a section called shopkeeping where you find different china and vintage items from different places. My favorite section though is where people open up their homes and take you on a picture tour of what they have done to make their home a little bit more cozy. In this issue they are not focussing on homes as much as different bed and breakfast inns. New world contry charm and well maintained landscaped yards and gardens make you feel at home and at peace when looking through the pictures.

They also have a special tabletops section that shows you how to decorate for a special gathering of a baby shower, tea party, or a light lunch. The decorations are simple and absolutely adorable. They also give a few recipes or where you can find the items for those great treats in the magazine as well. They also have multiple pages of books that you can buy that show different disigns, ect. These pages are called Romantic Homes bookshelf that you can call and order. There are also tons of advertisements that help you find items such as victorian tubs, shabby chic ideas, chandeliers, and old fashioned looking cabinets.

Though this magazine is not for everyone I know that you are bound to find something in here to give you insperation in some way to spice up your own home. The only thing that is bad about this magazine is it is rather hard to find. I went looking for it at my military px after receiveing my issues and could not find it there or Walmart which tend to have just about every magazine imaginable. If you can find this magazine I would recommend if not buy it at least give it a look and see if it is for you or not. You may be surprised.
