Author's Review
I purchased Rock Band for the PS3 the same day it came out, at a Toys R Us. As soon as I got home, I unpacked the meticulously packaged bundle. Once I popped the disc in to see what it had to offer, and played a few songs on the drums, I was hooked. I then called up my younger cousin (11 years old) and he came over. We rocked out for a good 2 hours, and we had plenty to do. The day after, my uncle and my cousin were over and we had a blast. My uncle had a sore throat when he was done singing! The songlist is decent, some songs are extremely fun, others are disappointing. Now, with the ability to download (well, purchase) new songs in the Playstation store, it makes this game that much more fun. I give it a 9.5/10. The only reason why it isn't a ten is the fact that my guitar stopped working the week after we had played. It turns out that many of the guitars were defective and it took me nearly a month to get the replacement guitar back. Overall, this is a great experience, and a great game. I recommend it to everyone--whether you want to go solo, or start your own band!
