Great Game

Rockband, like guitar hero is not the same as playing a real guitar. But RockBand seems to be more musical when playing the guitar parts. It does seem to follow what the guitar is doing, so I would say is better than Guitar Hero at that. And it is wicked fun! What's better than that is the drums, because what you are doing is very similar to what you really do with drums. My daughter is 5, and has a real drum set, and can play them (she's a beginner, but grat for 5!) Since we got RockBand, she is really learning the drum patterns, and her real drumming has REALLY improved! You can really use this game to learn drums. And the singing feature is great too. We bought the extra guitrar, so we play guiar, bass, drums and vocals at the same time. The vocal feature is great, and works better that I would have thought. It does track your pitch pretty well. The game is also pretty fun to watch with the animated musicians in the background - so if you're not playing it is fun to watch. Our family has a real band too. We love it!
