Good function but poor quality!

I've had this oven for about a year and the thing has been a great asset to the kitchen until last week when the temperature control knob broke off. It wasn't the plastic that broke off but the metal prongs that attaches it too the internal control mechanism. There is no simple way to reattach it and without it the whole thing is useless. A shame because it did great with frozen pizzas and leftovers...not so good with toast but good enough. I will be replacing this unit soon and I'm currently considering an identical one, but once bitten twice shy! I'm not sure that there is anything available of comparable price with any better quality than this unit...they're all made in China! They say that a chain is only as good as its weakest link...I truly believe that now!
