Good little Slow Cooker

We needed a smaller slow cooker for our family size now. Plus we wanted to try some new recipes and the slow cooker we had was just to large. This 2.5 quart seemed like a good size.
It has a light, metal rimmed glass lid. Having the metal rim around the whole edge of the lid means no chips like a full glass rim. The lid fits really nice.
The crock liner is easy to remove, and clean. It is a little heavy for it's size, and it seems to spread the heat over the whole surface of the crock nicely. I have not had any real issues with spot heating or anything like that.
There are two heat settings, LOW and HIGH. I never use high except for maybe a slight more rapid initial heating, I mean it is called a SLOW COOKER. I have never had any thing undercooked using slow according to a recipe and the recommended times.
The body (and crock liner) are oval shaped, which is a great improvement over the round ones. It is really nice on this smaller size. It makes meat on the bone easier to fit inside. We just had a whole rack of baby back ribs (cut up of course) inside this slow cooker.
Storage during in between use is not that hard, the foot print of this slow cooker is not that large and tucks away on a shelf, in a cabinet or in the corner of a counter easily.
The power cord is nice length. It is not one of those super short models, but not long enough to get in the way.
The outside of the cooker does get hot during use, I would rather it only get warm, but then it would have to be larger. The world is full of trade offs I guess.
