Scorching hot on outside!

Pros: Looks nice on the counter. HUGE capacity for making big stews, etc.

Cons: Extremely hot to the touch on outside.

This crock works perfectly fine, but it gets dangerously hot on the outside. I use mine only on top of the stove and have to double-check that is wire isn't touching the outside.

Also, and this is not necessarily a bad thing, the "Low" setting is very hot and the "Hot" setting is extremely hot. This means that most recipes take less time than you expect.
