Better than store bought ice cream

I bought it with recipes in mind. I started out with strawberry ice cream, MUCH BETTER than the store bought. The price of the ice cream maker was excellent.

It is a alluminum cylinder. When i opened the box i thought the cylinder was broken because it had a dent in the top around the rim. I took it back to do an exchange but come to find out that all of them are like that. SO THE DENT IS NORMAL.

It is loud and anoying but if you are in the other room then it's not so bad. I stayed with the machine because it was my first time making ice cream. After about twenty minutes I had to leave.

The motor didnt stop when it was supposed to. After about 35-40 minutes the motor ran high. I thought that was normal but when it didnt stop after 40 minutes I knew I had better turn it off. That isnt a problem because I liked watching the ice cream as it grew. The motor case was warm but fine.

When you are making large batches it is nice to share with your friends. I wanted to share it with all my friends because it tasted so good. My husband really liked it. The cost of making the strawberry ice cream per quart was much cheaper than store bought. I think regular vanilla ice cream out of the manual would cost about a $1. So you are saving there. I think it would pay for itself by the end of the summer.
