Ricola, a brand you can count on for relief!
Date of Review: Mar 25, 2009
The Bottom Line: I can recommend Ricola because it helps relieve a cough and the taste sure is yummy!
The brand Ricola Natural Herb Throat Drops have been used in my family for years. My parents were always the health fanatics and insisted on us taking something natural for my cough or sore throat. I have found that Ricola brand works tremendously to get rid of that nasty cough and heal those achy sore throats.
LOOK
The thing that first attracts me to Ricola Natural Herb Throat Drops is the package itself. It expresses that it is a natural reliever and shows different herbs and leafs on the front. Lemon Mint you'll find is in yellow packaging with Black letters across the front with the brand name. It is also helpful that it shows what the cough drop looks like on the front so you don't open the package grossed out by the color unlike other brands.
FIRST IMPRESSION
When opening the packaging to Ricola Natural Herb Throat Drops you'll find that each cough drop is individually wrapped. This is useful when you accidentally leave them in a hot car; they wont melt together. Each cough drop has Ricola's name on the wrapper so when your handing them out to your friends you'll be sure to reccommend the right brand as far as results are concerned.
TASTE
As you pop one of these brown rectangular cough drops in your mouth, you'll find yourself swishing the cough drop around your mouth sucking to allow the saliva to cover the drop. The flavor will rise inside your mouth. It will momentarily start to help your cough/sore throat be relieved. The flavor of a medium to strong minty lemon taste will fill your mouth completely. It is a slight fruit flavor with that refreshing mint to add. It is my favorite flavor. The taste of the drop doesn't leave a bad after taste which is good.
FEEL
As you suck consistently on the drop some may start to feel a spongy texture in your mouth from sucking so long. I find this happens when i fall asleep at night with one in my mouth.
PRICE
When strolling the aisle for Ricola Natural Herb Throat Drops most likely you'll find them at the affordable price of three to five dollars depending on the market or store you pick them up at. The price is good because most products that provide a herb in them can be more expensive. I think this is a good deal.
