Awesome & GREAT value for lase color printing

This is an awesome color laser printer. I have owned or worked with many different printers, and based on the low purchase prince for this unit, I have never found one that can beat it. It is super quit, remarkably fast, and copies are top quality. I do want to clarify something that the other reviews have mentioned. Several reviewers mention the duplexing features of the 4500 series Ricoh printer. The lack of duplexing is one of the one downsides to this printer. The other minor negative is the pricey $170 tonor cartridges that this machine uses. Since there are 4 different cartridges used in this machine, you will periodically be replacing one of them. At $170 the price of these cartridges can hurt your pocket. On the positive side, you get much more printing out of each cartridge and there are options available to save you $170 everytime you run out of toner. I found a site on the web that sells 2 bottles of toner refill for a total of $110. This equates to $60 per cartridge replacement and this price includes shipping. Another negative that I MUST mention is that you need to have replacement cartridges (or toner refill) on hand prior to low toner warning light. I learned the hard way. I had an important presentation progect due for a Monday and was printing it out on the weekend. The warning light came on and I kept printing until it completely ran out. I planned on running to Home Depot or Office Max to buy a replacement. BIG MISTAKE! You will most likely not find the toner at your local printer supply stores. I called and went to 3 different cities inquiring at every printer/toner store and nobody stocks the toner for this printer. You will most likely have to order off the internet like I have to do. This means that if you runout of tomer without a back-up on the shelf, you will not be making copies or prints for 3 days until you internet order is shipped to you. Another negative is that if one of your color cartridges runs out, you still can not use the copier/printer to do black and white prints. This is not as much of a negative as it is a "heads up". If you know this in advance and you stock up on the toner then this will never be a problem. The bottom line is this is an awesome printer/copier that I bought rand new for $569. My toner is costing me $60 per refill and I get 4,500 copies per color toner cartidge. The speed is amazing and quality matches the high priced competitors. The unit is quit to operate and has been very reliable. The wireless connection to my printer is an awesome feature that eliminates cords being in my way, and allows me to locate my printer longer distances from my computer. The size was one of the MAJOR considerations when I purchased this unit. It is small enough to be located under my desk in the standard inkjet printer space. Most laser printers are bigger and bulkier, which means that they WILL NOT fit in most inkjet printer spaces. All in all, this is the best laser printer on the market based on quality, cost to purchase, cost to operate, and features. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY IF YOU BUY THIS PRINTER/COPIER!!!!!!!
