Request to Ricky: Sing More; Talk Less
Pros:
A couple of good, high energy tunes
Cons:
short video with constant interruptions of the music and dancing
The Bottom Line:
If you love music and/or hunky guys, skip the interviews to go direct to the tunes.

Author's Review
Songs included in the video: Livin' La Vida Loca, She's All I Ever Had, Spanish Eyes/Lola Lola (Medley), Shake Your Bon-Bon, Light My Fire/Guajira/Oye Como Va (with Carlos Santana and Jose Feliciano), Maria (Live Remix), La Copa De La Vida (Live Remix); Bonus music video for Shake Your Bon-Bon
Filmed at Liberty State Park with the twin towers of the World Trade Center visible in the background, this is a relatively short video at 45 minutes, and a large proportion of that time is devoted to interview rather than music. It is a "star vehicle" rather than a concert. Each song is preceded by interview and other off-stage footage. Those who would prefer to see an entire concert uninterrupted will be disappointed. The concert footage is high energy, although a better job could have been done recording the band to capitalize on the excellent skills of the musicians. Carlos Santana and Jose Feliciano join Ricky for one song, but there was not much chemistry among these three... the song is more like three solos than a trio performance. The interviews will be of interest to the morbidly star struck; Ricky is cheerful as he communes with his squealing fans, but we must not look to him to unravel the mysteries of the universe for us. He should sing more, talk less. This must have been a good show to have attended in person. Too bad they cut the concert up into pieces for the DVD.
