It Only Took a Few Days

Date of Review:  Sep 23, 2006
The Bottom Line: Pay a little more for something a little less fragile.
Review: It only took a week or two for the little plastic prongs on one of the trimming guides to break off rendering it totally useless. It worked pretty well before it broke. The clipper assembly twists off and on for cleaning. It's a little TOO easy to...

The cutting head works very...

Date of Review:  Mar 31, 2003
Review: The cutting head works very well, and is sharp and does not pull the hair. The plastic trimmer attachements are easy to install and remove, however the tabs holding them to the trimmer broke after only a few uses. I have not been able to locate...

Works well but flimsy

Date of Review:  Jul 27, 2004
Review: I have owned two of these beard trimmers. The motor and battery will outlast the flimsy trimming attachments which, in my case, last two weeks. This has happened twice and you can't find replacement trim heads anywhere so you're relegated to buying...

Ideal if only it would last

Date of Review:  Jun 4, 2003
The Bottom Line: Find a source for the plastic guides first. Then buy it and you'll like it.
Review: This is a very versatile kit, and it works very well when all the parts are intact.
I like that it's as complete and compact as it is. It's fairly ideal for both home and short trip travel use.

I cannot recommend it though, because...

It'll fall apart in your hands

Date of Review:  Apr 3, 2004
The Bottom Line: Spend a little more money on a better product. It'll be worth it.
Review: I bought this product because it looked like it had all the tools I would need in one package. And the price was right. I got it for about $30.

As soon as I got it home, I tried it out. It worked like a charm. I tried switching heads to...

Remington PG-200

Date of Review:  Apr 30, 2003
The Bottom Line: I would recommend spending just $10 to $15 more to get a more durable shaver.
Review: I should have read the other reviews. I would have bought a different model. This shaver is inexpensive but it's not worth it. Mine broke within a week. The guard cracked within a week but it was still usable. Within two weeks the one guard was...

Pretty Decent

Date of Review:  Feb 24, 2005
The Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend this product to someone who just wants something that works without all the fancy hoo-ha you get with more expensive trimmers.
Review: My husband wanted a beard trimmer that could trim his sideburns and his neck in between hair cuts and I saw this in the store one day on sale for $19. For under $20, this little trimmer works very well! It comes with several attachments but he has...

Decent grooming on a budget

Date of Review:  Nov 28, 2004
The Bottom Line: For a cheap entry level kit, it does the job as expected.
Review: With several attachments and a price tag around $20, its a decent entry level grooming applicance. A few things I do like is the trimmer attachments and the gaurds that come with them. It does a pretty good job of evening out side burn lines,...

Not durable and NOT for beginners.

Date of Review:  Aug 19, 2000
Review: I have used the groomer precisely three times and it just fell apart. I'm afraid to glue it back together because, well, it contains a razor and is therefore sharp. I can just see myself applying the Super Glue only to have the darn thing come...

Review: The Meeting

While shopping at Target for some toothpaste, I came across the aisle which contained the electric shavers. I remembered reading a small blurb in Men's Health about Remington's newest shaver (the PG 200). I thought that it...
