Good for the short haul

I was recently given the shaver as a gift from my wife. For the past 2 years I've been using a Remington XLR-370 battery powered shaver for when I travel and it performed well until the blades got dull. Unfortunately, that happened rather quickly and I kept buying replacements. Same for this model. Although the shaver works well for the first few weeks, the blades get dull quickly and lose their cutting ability, often leaving me with painful pulled hairs on my face that have to be cut off with a blade razor. Yes, it has some neat features, but I don't consider the rubber grip a pertinent selling item. Battery charge, blade capability, and ease of use are what got me into Remington, but this will be the last one I own. In the future I'll buy a rotary shaver that's waterproof. As with most rechargable batteries, this one tended to develop a "memory" and wouldn't charge completely once used and not completely discharged. I've been using it for 3 months now (on my second set of VERY EXPENSIVE replacement blades) and the charge lasts about 10 minutes, so if I don't charge it every day it dies in the middle of the shave. For the cost of replacement blades you could buy a better model shaver.
