Introduction
Before we start talking about the Remington Electric shaver, I would like to tell you that I am going compare the Remington MS-280 Titanium MicroScreen Electric Shaver with the $129 the Braun Syncro 7526 Electric Shaver. My Braun Syncro 7526 Electric Shaver worked only for 2 months and the built-in rechargeable battery blew up! Yes, it blew up when I tried to recharge the shaver. After spending $129 on an electric shaver, I didn't feel like spending another $129 on another shaver so I was looking for a new one.
What happened next?
I went back to Walmart in Simi Valley, California and saw the Remington MS-280 Titanium MicroScreen Electric Shaver and the price was only $39! Well I never tried a Remington electric Shaver before, because most of electric shavers were either Braun or Norelco. Since the price was so cheap compared to Braun and Norelco, I decided to buy the Remington MS-280 Titanium MicroScreen Electric Shaver.
What do I like about the Remington MS-280 Titanium MicroScreen Electric Shaver?
- It really shaved very close! It feels like shaving with a the Gillette Turbo, it feels very clean after you use the Remington MS-280 Titanium MicroScreen Electric Shaver.
- The battery life is long before you have to recharge it again when it is still a brand new. I love the battery life, it could shave for at least 2 or 5 days before I had to recharge the shaver again.
- The design is extremely nice. I really love the the shape of the handle, it fits perfectly on my hand, and I have small hands.
- The battery recharging time is very quick! It took only an hour or two hous to rechage the battery. So it would save me time.
- It is very easy to clean the blades, I just have to open the blades cover and shake the hair off. It comes with a small brush to brush off the hair.
- It is very durable, after 9 months of daily use, the motor kept going and going even though the blades became dull and needed to be replaced.
- The price of Remington MS-280 is a lot cheaper than the Braun Syncro 7526. The Braun Syncro costs $129 and the Remington MD-280 costs only $39. So there is a big difference in price.
- It comes with a beard trimmer.
What I don't like about the Remington MS-280 Titanium MicroScreen Electric Shaver
- I said it shaves really close, well it was so close it shaved my skin off! You have to be careful with the Remington Shaver when it is still brand new, the blades were extremely sharp and if you are not careful, you'll bleed after you shave. I hated it, because I would have a lot of zits all over my skin before I went to work.
- The blades became dull within 9 months, it was very sad, the replacement blades were expensive.
- The battery life became shorter and shorter after 5 months of use. I had to keep recharging it everyday. I agree with other people who say that the battery life is poor, because after I used it for 5 months, the performance of the battery became EXTREMELY poor.
- When I forgot to use aftershave after using the Remington shaver, the top of my lips and the skin felt burned and dry. I didn't have that problem with Braun electric shaver.
Will I recommend the Remington MS-280 to my friends and relatives?
If you want to have a great shaver that shaves VERY close, get the Remington MS-280 Titanium MicroScreen Electric Shaver. Just be careful when it is still brand new because if you press it too hard on your skin, the blades will shave your skin too, it is very painful and you will have red blood dots all over your face.

The Remington MS-280 Titanium MicroScreen Electric Shaver is a great saver, even though it does shave your skin if you press it too hard against your skin, it is still a great electric shaver. Just make sure you use an aftershave. The price of the Remington MS-280 is a lot cheaper than the Braun Syncro 7526 and the Remington shaver is a lot more durable than the Braun because the Remington Shaver lasted a lot longer than the Braun.
