Darkhorse of electrics

Pros: close shave, gets stubborn hairs, price, provides good audio feedback while shaving
Cons: motor noise level, no low battery indicator, takes too long to charge, no corded use
The Bottom Line: I was having problems with irritation from blade and wetshaving. This shaver does not irritate me, while also giving a close shave that rivals any razor I have used.
Review: After trying out several different electric shavers: 2 Remington rotaries, Panasonic Arc Nano, and a Norelco arcitec, I have decided on the MS-280 as my #1 electric shaver. This may not be one of the most expensive razors, but it shaves very, very ...

Pros: Very close shave with minimum number of passes.
Cons: Perhaps a little noisy. Louder than Braun or Norelco.
The Bottom Line: Try this one, and no need to press hard. I think it's great!
Review: I have had every top grade shaver made from Braun 360 to Norelco Smart Touch XL. I went to replace the screen and blade on the Braun 360 and noticed the Remington 280 was about the same price so I had heard good things about it and decided to buy it ...

Remington MS-280 Shaves Very Close, It Is Just Too Close

Pros: Price, close shaving (too close), great design
Cons: It shaves too close, so close that it may shave your skin too
The Bottom Line: Clean shave, affordable price and good battery life.
Review: Introduction Before we start talking about the Remington Electric shaver, I would like to tell you that I am going compare the Remington MS-280 Titanium MicroScreen Electric Shaver with the $129 the Braun Syncro 7526 Electric Shaver. My Braun ...

Pros: Excellent bang for the buck;Shaves "as close as a blade" ;Easy, simple cleaning
Cons: Screenhead protector cap sometimes doesn't fit well;Charge cord is not as convenient as stand
The Bottom Line: Excellent bang for the buck--as good as shavers twice as expensive!
Review: I have used the single foil Remington Microscreen 1 (SP3) for about two or three years, and I decided to buy this Titanium 280 recently because of the amazing price ($30 @ Target). I was pleased with the Microscreen 1, but it was getting too difficult to ...

Poor Battery Life

Pros: Closer shave than my DA 307.
Cons: Shorter charge life.
The Bottom Line: Closer shave, but shorter charge cycle and lower battery life.
Review: I previously had a Remington DA 307. After several years and several replacement screens, the battery no longer held a charge for very long. It is unfortunate they don't make replaceable batteries rather than soldering them. I tried, but failed ...

Pros: 2 position trimmer; washable screen
Cons: No low-battery indicator. Ineffective on beard growth of several days.
The Bottom Line:
Buy it, but be aware of its limitations Review: I had to retire my Remington 6MF1 because screens and replacement cutters are no longer available. This is a plug-in shaver I inherited from my father-in-law, and it's at least 20 years old. There was no question that I was going to buy another ...

Shaves close, but otherwise disappointing

Pros: Shaves close.
Cons: Foil breaks easily, hard to change. Cannot use unless fully charged even if plugged in.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend another razor, unless a close shave is all you care about. It does shave closer than other electric razors I have used.
Review: My wife purchased this shaver for me after my old Norelco finally gave up the ghost after many years of faithful service. While this shaver does shave close, it has many negative features that outweigh this one positive. In the six months I have ...

Pros: Easily fit into my trash can
Cons: Everything else
Review: I have been using the same model Remington shaver for years (looked like the DA-307 but was black). Apparently they no longer make the model I liked so when I needed a new shaver I figured that I would get this one rather than the cheaper 307. From ...
