ROCK ON!!!

The Bottom Line: This game is awesome and worth the money!
The ultimate guitar experience for under $100! Guitar Hero is a perfect game for anyone using a Playstation, or any other console! It combines music, coordination, and of course, guitars!
I have used this game for the past 6 months or so, and loved it! I don't generally play video games, as I am not very adept at it and generally lose within the first 10 minutes. However this game is different. I still lost right away, but that was due to my general inability to grasp things that are common knowledge, such as it is necessary to strum a guitar to make sound! But after the guy from Best Buy pointed out my error, I was in love. My husband and I bought it that night.
When played on easy, even the most uncoordinated can play at least the first few songs, such as Joan Jett's "I Love Rock and Roll" and the Ramones "I Wanna Be Sedated". The game has a wonderful variety of songs that are broke into sets based on how difficult they are. The music included songs by The Donnas, Ozzy, Pantera, Franz Ferdinand, Jimi Hendrix and so many more. All of the songs in the career mode are "as made famous by" not played by the original bands, but they are masterfully remade, so well that you can't tell they are remakes. There are more than a dozen bonus tracks that are by the original artist, but these are lesser known artists, although not less talented.
The guitar controller that comes with it is great, although MUCH smaller than an actual guitar. It has a whammy bar to vary the sound on long chords, as well as earn star power which doubles the points for every note hit. Although it is possible to play it without the guitar controller I have never tried, as it involves using the L1, L2, R1, & R2 buttons, and seems much more difficult. For all you leftys out there, you can switch it to play in "lefty mode" in the options, making the game much more equal opportunity.
With four levels of play (easy, medium, hard & expert) you are sure to have a lot of play time before you beat the game.
