Best Hitchcock

This is definitley Hitchcocks best. The performances are amazing. The sets, nothing short of incredible. The final shots in the movie are exquisite. Particularly great performances from Judith Anderson and George Saunders. Apparently, the two leads did not get along at all. Laurence Olivier wanted his Girlfriend, Vivien Liegh to play the role. So, whenever you see him whispering in the girls ear, he is reportedly saying terrible things! But, I must say they hide it amazingly well. Judith Anderson's Character displays some very subtle lesbian tendencies! One of the funniest performances comes from an actress with a small-ish part right at the very beginning. She plays Mrs. Van Hopper, who has hired the lead actress as a paid compainion. Imagine Margaret DuMont on steroids! Crazy! I would recommend this to anyone!
