Come away from that window

Date of Review:  Jan 30, 2008
The Bottom Line: A great Alfred Hitchcock thriller!
Review: Rear Window is one of Alfred Hitchock's best thrillers. Talk about being on the edge of your seat!

This one takes place in a small New York apartment during the hot summertime. L.B. Jeffries, better known as Jeff, is a professional...

Rear Window: A Murder Mystery Masterpiece

Date of Review:  Feb 24, 2003
The Bottom Line: A movie fit for the whole family to see and entertaining as well.
Review:
Rear Window was directed by Alfred Hitchcock. It was written by John Michael Hayes and produced by James C. Katz for Paramount Pictures. Robert Burkes did the cinematography along with George Tomasini as film editor. James Stewart stars as L...

Maybe I Should Close The Blinds...

Date of Review:  Jul 7, 2000
Review: Alfred's Hitchcock's Rear Window is perhaps my favorite Hitch film (with Psycho, North by Northwest, Vertigo, and Shadow of a Doubt each barely trailing). L.B. "Jeff" Jeffries (Jimmy Stewart) is an injured photographer who must stay at home in a...

THE TENSION IS KILLING ME!!!!

Date of Review:  Aug 2, 2000
Review: Alfred Hitchcock hits a home run with his classic thriller Rear Window, a tautly written story of a man who sees too much. One of the film's most distinguishing features is that the camera never leaves the apartment. Not once. Starring film legends...

Peeping 101: Rear Window

Date of Review:  Apr 30, 2004
The Bottom Line: Rear Window is one of the best suspense films ever made. See it!
Review: Alfred Hitchcock has the reputation of being one of the very best film directors. I think it may be because of his unique approach to limiting the psychological and physical space of the protagonist. In Lifeboat, for example, he limited all the...

Hitchcock's Rear Window

The Bottom Line: Watch this one, you will enjoy it. :)
Review: Rear Window

Rear Window, directed by Alfred Hitchcock, was filmed in Los Angeles at Paramount Studies and comes from John Michael Hayes' screenplay which was based on Cornell Woolrich's original 1942 short story, It Had to Be Murder.

Rear Window --- Jimmy Stewart, Grace Kelly, and Alfred Hitchcock create suspense

Date of Review:  Aug 8, 2005
The Bottom Line: Hitchcock Directs one of his best films, that stars Jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelly as lovers who find themselves as witnesses to something they cannot explain.
Review: With Rear Window, Alfred Hitchcock took an idea right from real life when he decided to direct his newest suspense film. The idea was to have an entire film unravel through the back window of a man's apartment. Seems like it couldn't be all that...

Rear Window Ethics

Date of Review:  Mar 16, 2001
The Bottom Line: See it.
Review: James Stewart's L.B. Jefferies--Jeff for short--is a filmmaker's ideal moviegoer: his leg is ridiculously broken and encased in a "plaster cocoon," an injury that keeps him upright and immobile--in other words, more or less at the mercy of a limited...

A Hitchcock Classic, "Rear Window"

Date of Review:  Dec 21, 2003
The Bottom Line: Hitchcock lovers will adore this film. An amazing masterpiece from the suspense man himself, Hitchcock. I would recommend the remastered DVD edition, it feels like watching another movie.
Review: Introduction

I have recently gotten into Alfred Hitchcock films. Forgive me, but I never knew older movies could be so good! I have recently seen 3 Hitchcock movies: Rear Window, Rebecca, and Saboteur. Rear Window is the best of those and...

Rear Window doesn't hold up today

Date of Review:  Dec 28, 2000
Review: Keep in mind when reading this that I saw Rear Window about 40 years after it came out. Unfortunately the original suspense does not hold up after 40 years. It is still an excellent movie mystery that keeps you guessing all the way to the end.
