Nice lens, but....

This is the second Raynox lens I have purchased. Both are quite good value. The wide-angle converter I bought (my first Raynox) feels heavy and of good quality.

This lens, however, feels very light and plasticky.

While it looks good when attached, and delivers a VERY good quality picture on my Sony HDV camera), my one complaint is that upon zooming back you immediately get (not only) vignetting, but you can actually see the inside of the tube of the lens!!

Therefore, this lens can, and only should, be used on the the maximum zoom setting of the camera.

I thought I would get more use out of this lens than I actually have! In fact, I get more mileage out of my wide-angle conversion lens.

Each to their own, I suppose...!
