Another one from the pals at MITSUBISHI!!!
Pros:
More refined and gentle than its second generation predecessor.
Cons:
Less of a boy-racer sports car and more of a grown-up grand tourer.
The Bottom Line:
Very Refined, Cool, Relible, Polite. Great for young hooligans or middle-aged drivers who want to feel young.
Did I mention "Cool-Mitsubishi"?

Author's Review
Okay, so if you haven't noticed, my user name is Triple Diamond. So, yeah. I am a Mitsubishi freak. I am obsessed with Mitsubishi. Oh, well. I hope that doesn't make me too biased.
Okay. The current edition Mitsubishi Eclipse. What's so different about it? You ask. Isn't this the same car that was introduced as the SST in 1999 and brought out as a 2000 model to replace the old and graying 2nd generation Eclipse that was born in 1994? Okay, yeah. But this Eclipse gets a little facelift. It sort of needs it in this midlife crisis that its going through. Nothing new has been introduced so, a facelift will have to do. With it comes a new lower front spoiler that wraps around new foglight, and a more evolved interior. The tailights are also clear-smoked now for a more "cooler" look.
"So is that all I get?" Well, you get the respected service and dependabity of a Mitsubishi. And plus you get to look really cool going down the street. Now, if your really into power, you'll have to go with the V6. Which orinally peaked at 200hp due to emissions requirements. But now Mitsu has added a new model to the Eclipse lineup. Now you will have the choice of the GT-S. Which produces a few extra horses similar to the way Hondas VTEC does via variable lift timing. Which mean the engine finds a new way to make more power from the same design. So now you have a standard upgraded stereo by Mitsu and Infiniti if you choose the GT-S.
But you will also have other cars to consider such as the Acura RSX, Toyota Celica, and Hyundai Tiburon. But Toyota's Celica is really going through a midlife crisis with a newly added fuel cutoff which is really getting on enthusiasts' nerves. So maybe the Eclipse is your choice. Hyundai offers the real value and Acura offers its reliabilty and essentialness. And the Eclipe is also the best selling sports compact of the decade. Now think about that.
Also, I have a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse which is a special Edition 0-Z version. If your wondering what it is, write a message and I will reply. And if your asking "Why should I take the word of someone who doesn't even own this car?" Well, I am a Mitsubhishi (no, that's not Ecstacy) addict who studys everything about them even the company history.
Triple Diamond.
