BlackBerry Storm: The Official iPhone Killer?

Date of Review:  Dec 26, 2008
The Bottom Line: I would recommend the Storm for people who need constant access to the Internet, e-mail, and instant messaging.
Review: I was one of Blackberry's first customers to order the new Blackberry Storm. This much-hyped phone has been the topic of conversation in the tech world for quite awhile now. Blackberry was officially going to roll out a phone completely different...

The BlackBerry Storm is the Best Business-Class Handheld, Period

Date of Review:  Mar 15, 2009
The Bottom Line: The BlackBerry Storm 9530 may take some getting used to, but as a business messaging platform it excels like no other, including Windows Mobile and iPhone handhelds.
Review: The BlackBerry Storm 9530 is a multi-frequency broadband (3G) handset that offers anytime/anywhere access to corporate (and personal) e-mail, contacts, calendar information, a Web browser, broadband, and a full touch-screen QWERTY keyboard.  And oh,...

More like a tempest in a teapot

Date of Review:  Jul 3, 2009
The Bottom Line: The browser is nice, but the input is a pain and the inability to answer a call when the device is overloaded is frustrating. This product should have been better.
Review: I bought a Blackberry Storm and switched my cell service to Verizon a few months ago.

I was looking for improved browsing and phone service in an organizer phone. Right now, I'd give the browsing a strong plus, and Verizon's service has been...

RIM's iPhone killer not "The Perfect STORM"

Date of Review:  Nov 22, 2008
The Bottom Line:

Its not yet "The Perfect Storm", but firmware update (4.7.0.75) eliminated alot of the bugs during its shipping. Further support will make this a true iPhone competitor.

Review: {{{{{{{{{{{{UPDATE:  NOVEMBER 30th 2008 -    RIM has released an update to the phone "Firmware 4.7.0.75 ".  Compared to the firmware version that shipped with the Storm during release, this firmware has patched numerous bugs in regards to rotation...

Storm version 1.0 is more of a "sqaull".

Date of Review:  Aug 18, 2009
The Bottom Line: There are better Blackberries for business users and better media phones for personal use. I can see no reason to opt for it over the competition.
Review: I refrained from writing this review for over 6 months because I truly wanted to love the Storm.  I've been a Blackberry user for over 5 years now thanks to my job.  I've had several versions of the device on different carriers.  The Storm is a...

Never buy first generation anything... period!

Date of Review:  Sep 23, 2009
The Bottom Line: If you want a touch screen Blackberry, wait until the Storm II comes out.  Never buy 1st generation anything!  I learned my lesson the hard way.
Review: I was so excited when I got the Blackberry Storm 9530 smart phone on the day it was released (November 21st, 2008).  I have since gotten three warranty replacements (with the same device of course) hoping to get a device that would work as it was...

Detailed review of Blackberry Storm

Date of Review:  Jan 7, 2009
The Bottom Line: A decent phone if you want access to Web, Email and messaging.  But still doesn't replace a laptop for everything.
Review: Overview:
I’ve had the Blackberry Storm from Verizon Wireless for almost three weeks now.  So far I’m happy with it, but there are LOTS of little issues that could be better about it.

This is Blackberry and Verizon’s attempt to compete...

Date of Review:  Feb 28, 2009
The Bottom Line: It's a good product that will get better with software upgrades.
Review: The BlackBerry PIM
This is my first BlackBerry, and I have to admit that it took me a day or two to get used to the interface, which is different from the standard Verizon interface. Specifically, I had a hard time learning how to adjust the...

The Blackberry Storm blows.....

Date of Review:  Jan 22, 2009
The Bottom Line: Sort of like a Blackberry without the reliability or text input. Sort of like an iPhone but without the power, ease of use, or finesse. In other words, total trash.
Review: ... and fails to knock anything over.
In Summary: This is the worst smartphone I've used in a long time. It offers neither the exceptional reliability or strengths of a 'real' Blackberry nor the powerful platform of the iPhone. Since returning...

The Rise of the Storm

Date of Review:  Jan 24, 2009
The Bottom Line: This phone is a worthy investment! I love this phone! If you are on the market for a new phone look into it!
Review: OPENING COMMENTS

Let’s Begin, shall we? I am going to state right up front that this review will NOT be based upon a side-by-side comparison of the iPhone versus the Storm! I know that everyone is caught up in the iPhone versus Storm...
