Decent receiver for the money.

Date of Review: Oct 26, 2006

Bought this unit 2 days ago and have liked it so far. The only complaints I could make is that to switch between the digital inputs (1 optical and 2 digital coaxial), you have to use the button on the unit's front face (no remote function will allow this), kind of a problem when all you send through the unit is digital. Also, I had previously been sending two optical digital signals through an omnidirectional splitter/combiner and been able to reproduce sound on a Sony amp when only one source was transmitting, and that same setup does not work on this unit, So I had to downgrade one connection to the amplifier to digital coax in order to hear it. A minor complaint, but something to think about if you use only digital sources.
