I bought one of these units about 6 years ago and it's still going strong. It's very well built with it's descrete amps making it heavy which speaks well of it's quality and sound. It took awhile to get comfortable with its controls and tuning in fm channels and storing them is cumbersome and if the power goes out you have to do it all over again, even though I set the memory-might be something wrong with it. Also still have not figured how to operate the direct tone controls. But all those negatives aside I am very satisfied with the sound quality, especially sounds outstanding with the dolby digital. For the price it's ability to adjust the decibles of each speaker channel comes in handy to tweek the sound for room/speaker arrangements which is something you'd expect more upity recievers but I could be wrong. Nice versital unit, for the money you can't get more.
