RCA WHP150 Wireless Headphones

by   dmh1967 ,  Sep 24, 2003
Pros: Comfortable, quick and easy installation, freedom to move around the house without losing signal
Cons: Loses signal at any dead spot in transmission greater than about 10 seconds.
The Bottom Line: If you are on a budget, these will work just fine for you. If you have money to burn, I would check out the higher-priced models.
Review: Due to the fact that I am a night owl and my wife has to rise early in the morning, I was forced to either turn off the TV or find a pair of headphones to fulfill my movie fix. The headphones also had to be wireless, as all my components are to far away f ...

Wireless Freedom

by   bigbeas ,  Mar 22, 2006
Pros: Wireless! You can move around and rock out late at night without disturbing the neighbors.
Cons: The use batteries (duh) and do not sound as good as traditional wired headphones.
The Bottom Line: If you have a want/need for wireless headphones, these RCA 150 work very well. You can find them factory refurbished on eBay for good prices.
Review: I was apprehensive when I purchased these headphones because of some of the other reviews. I have had the RCA 150 for a couple weeks now and they work really well. I live in a quadruplex and my upstairs neighbors sometimes complain that my TV is up too ...

Nice Entry-Level Headset.

by   chrisaroz ,  Jun 26, 2003
Pros: Easy Set-up, Good Controls, Good Price
Cons: Long Initial Charge, Sound Source must be continuous, Radio Quality Sound.
The Bottom Line: If you want an inexpensive, good sound quality, convenient set of wireless headphones I would recommend these. If you want pro sound, consider paying more.
Review: If you are in the market for a beginner set of wireless headphones this could very well be the set f ...

by   matrixii ,  Dec 19, 2002
Pros: Handy controls, nice output, good range!
Cons: Static if no transmission after approx. 60 seconds
The Bottom Line: Great headphones! Nice for around the house use. Would recommend!
Review: This is my first set of cordless headphones and I must honestly say... I'm never looking back!

Range

These headphones give a nice clear reception at your typical 900 MHz range. I was able to get clear reception with the...

Quite satisfied with the value

by   modemmonkey ,  Aug 9, 2005
Pros: Rechargeable batteries (though not included with my refurbed). Fairly comfortable. Good quality for the price.
Cons: Slight background hiss. Loud static if sound is low or 10 second break between songs.
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for an average pair of wireless headphones to listen to music around the house, consider these as an option.
Review: I purchased these headphones refurbed for about $25 shipped. For this price (even though they're refurbed), they were a great deal. I've had them now for a few months and they still work as well as the first day they arrived. It is true that after ...

If you know to tune to a radio station buy it. That simple

by   anilmani ,  May 23, 2008
Pros: Nice Audio. Good stereo effect. Easy to figure out.
Cons: The Base unit do not show the working voltage.
The Bottom Line: For the regular use, this product is really good.
Review: I just got this product from Value Village. The base and the headphones from seperate places of the same shop. When took it home, I was not even sure whether each part were from the same category or work with each other. To complicate matters it didn't ...

Freedom from wires

by   burbclaver ,  May 14, 2001
Pros: Good range, even in an equipment filled office.
Cons: Average sound. Make you look like Princess Laya.
The Bottom Line: If you need wireless and amplified headphones, then these do the job. Unless you need wireless, there are probably better sounding regular headphones in this price range.
Review: I bought these to use on my laptop computer at the office. I needed to drown out the sound of a colleague who is constantly on the phone. I had tried regular headphones but couldnt get them loud enough. I was attracted by the wireless approach as it...

Good wireless headphones

by   Granto ,  May 8, 2001
Pros: Good sound, good reception, good battery life.
Cons: If there is no sound, there is loud static.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend these for the price range they are in. They are great, midrange headphones, except for what happens when the sound stops.
Review: I use these headphones on a daily basis, and they are very nice.

I technically got them free through a Microsoft promotion with clickrewards.com, but I would consider them worth the $75-90 I see them selling for online.

I previously...

Drove Me Crazy

by   calasandra ,  Apr 8, 2003
Pros: Excellent Price, comfortable, drowns out all outside noise
Cons: Tuning very very difficult, annoying LOUD static with silence
The Bottom Line: If someone wants excellent quality sound that drowns out all outside noise and doesn't mind having to fiddle with the tuning all the time, these are for you.
Review:

I Purchased these for personal use, to listen to my music and not disturb the neighborhood. All excited about them as these were my first pair of cordless headphones. No more cords, no more ripping headphones painfully off my head when I would...

Look Ma, No Wires.........

by   dr_resq ,  Dec 11, 2004
Pros: uses standard NiCd rechargeable batteries
Cons: weight, weak signal, I'm not equipped with the proper sized ears.
The Bottom Line: When these things wind up on the clearance rack for $15.00 (and they will) consider it.
Review: I started experimenting with wireless headphones about a year ago as a potential means of listening to my favorite Internet radio stations while doing things around the house, but out of earshot of my computer. I thought it would be awesome to be able to ...
