Overall a great player, but has some problems.

Date of Review:  Oct 14, 2004
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a cheap, small yet expandable mp3/wma player, this has a lot of bang for the buck.
Review: I was looking for an MP3 player for the gym with only the following requirements -
a) was small/lightweight
b) supported SD expansion

I found this player for $55 on amazon, so I went for it.
You can find it for $49.99 on...

More pros than cons

Date of Review:  Jan 27, 2004
The Bottom Line: Affordable, compact, & versatile. A quality player.
Review: This player is great for working out/jogging due to the arm band that comes with it. Great for wearing while doing chores around the house or when you don't want to bother others with your music. Despite what some reviews say you don't have to use...

I bought this unit for my 7 year old music fanatic.

Date of Review:  Nov 23, 2004
The Bottom Line: A good buy, but you really need additional memory, so plan on spending another $35-$45 for 256MB SD card.
Review: I bought this unit for my 7 year old son, that has become a music fanatic, and loves all forms of music. I have a Rio S30 sport which I will make comparisons to.

The Lyra is simple to use, I did not install any of the software, just the...

Great MP3 player for the money

Date of Review:  May 10, 2004
The Bottom Line: I have this player with me whenever I am at the gym. It's lightweight, versatile, and sounds great.
Review: After deciding that I needed an MP3 player, for use at the gym, I found volumes of information on all sorts of products. The number of options available can be confusing and one of the first things any potential MP3 consumer needs to do is to decide...

The Bottom Line: If you want a MP3 player that will get the job done this is it. It might not be fancy, but it is one of the best.

One Heck of a good buy!

Date of Review:  Aug 29, 2003
The Bottom Line: The RCA Lyra is visually appealing, well thought out , completely upgradable, excellent sounding and superior to players that are twice the price.
Review: I Got my 1021 RCA lyra about a month ago too use while I work. It has 64MB internal memory, which I can store about 30 songs on when using 64 kbps (CD Quality). I also purchased a 256MB Secure Digital Media Card. In total I can cram about 160 songs...

Nice Little MP3 Player

Date of Review:  Aug 16, 2003
The Bottom Line: Definitely worth the price. 64MB of Internal Memory with the option to expand using a "smart media" card and ease of use make this player the one to buy.
Review: I bought the RCA Lyra RD1021 MP3 player as an upgrade to the RCA Kazoo which I had previously owned.

First Impression
When I first looked at the RD1021, I noticed that it was a little bit more compact than the RCA Kazoo, which is a...
