Pros: An attractive, innovative device that replaces most original home entertainment equipment remote controls.
Cons: Expensive but there is a market for this and I'm it.
The Bottom Line: Four or five stars, it's a tough decision. The best rating I can give comes in the form of recommendations to friends and family. I highly recommend the RC9800i.

Review: The opportunity to share my experiences about a product that exceeded my expectations is a unique situation. I expected to enjoy playing with and learning to use my new Philips RC9800i Touchscreen Remote Control. The idea of replacing all the remote...

Pros: Intuitive operation and Large Touch Screen Display
Cons: Expensive, can be confusing, set-up is time consuming, battery life should be much better
The Bottom Line: The Philips RC 9800i is simplest to program and the easiest to use of all currently available mega remotes
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I really like the idea of eliminating all the typical Remote Control clutter with a single unit that can control all A/V-Media components, although I am not really a universal remote control sort of guy. Like many consumers, I am a bit intimidated...

Pros: Free internet EPG's, color display, rechargeable Li-ion battery, wifi streaming of mp3's, image files
Cons: Initial setup not for the technology challenged, remote codes database missing two of my devices
The Bottom Line: The latest and greatest in activity based remotes. If you're willing to program it to use all features and communicate with all your devices, you'll forget your other remotes.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: If you could design one remote to replace all the remote controls in your home, what features would you include?
- Controls on a large color touchscreen with intuitive button layouts for each device? - Rechargeable batteries that... |

Pros: Indispensable for anyone with wireless systems and too many remotes
Cons: A lot longer learning curve than I expected, no child lock.
The Bottom Line: Fun to use, lots to learn and if you have too many remotes it's a fine thing.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I have here an item that makes the "control issues" you may have at your house go away. No more disagreements over who lost what when and who took something somewhere and just where is it now when I need it so badly.

Pros: Looks cool. Nice convergence features with Wireless capability and Media server connectivity.
Cons: POORLY executed. Read my review. MAKE SURE YOU CAN RETURN IT!
The Bottom Line: If you don't believe my review: buy one at a place that gives refunds, after setup put your other remotes in the attic, see what happens.

Pros: price, screen, wifi, epg
Cons: a bit slow, no customisation of keys
The Bottom Line: For the price a good bit of kit, yeah it locks up sometimes but its a good solid bit of kit for a modest home setup.

Pros: Design, feel, weight, layout of physical buttons, LCD touch screen.
Cons: Battery life, network, freeze-ups, stylus, lack programmable buttons.
The Bottom Line: It was a good tablet universal remote control for its time, but it was not perfect and lacked features found on similar products.
