This One Was Quick To My Favorites List.

I know there have been a good many westerns cranked out in the 60's and 70's that were mostly alike, but with better technology and better filming methods, westerns were able to take on a new life.
The Quick and The Dead is one of these better movies. The plot is very unique. It's basically a town that holds an annual gunfight for the big cash prize. Some of the different types of characters portrayed in this movie are flamboyant and/or eccentric, or even a little of both, which makes it interesting to say the least.
Now I'm sure that the other reviewers have said pretty much what I am about to say: SHARON STONE! I don't think there are too many other female actors who would have brought off her role quite as well as she did. She is, of course the only female in this contest, and she also has an ulterior motive for getting the best gunfighter in town in her sights. But you will have to see the movie to learn more.
I highly recommend this to anyone who likes the new era of westerns being produced.
