Quasar VHQ450 Hi-Fi Stereo VCR

Pros: Panasonic quality, good feature set, fine picture & sound. "LP" record mode!
Cons: Clunky "tower" remote.
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for an inexpensive, high-quality VCR for any purpose, steer clear of the junk and get Panasonic quality for a surprisingly low price with the VHQ450.
Review: My review is actually of the VHQ-450, virtually identical to the VHQ-451, but with a "new and improved" tower-style remote control.
