Tis' sad to say but we live in a day and age where its hard to trust the person walking behind you as you walk down the street. Evidence of this shows in several shows aired on shows such as 60 Minutes, Discovery Channel, CNN, and several others. These shows mainly centered around the concept of information security, and how it can affect our personal lives. Items we obtain day to day can be used in harmful ways by the wrong people, and it happens before we even know its occuring.
From what i've learned and picked up from here and there, things such as bank statements, especially ATM transaction slips, insurance forms, medical reports and billing statements, Federal tax forms, and even something as simple as DMV forms, can be used to assume someones identity, or access an account, or even to obtain credit cards and such through your name.
So with that in mind i accuired this shredder. Why?...well i've used one at my place of work. I like it, cause its simple. Very easy to use with next to nothing when it comes to setup. The price is very affordable when you consider the device itself is under 75 dollars, and for me that included buying a trash can for underneath it. As long as you are reasonable with it and dont overwork it, a person will never encounter a problem with this shredder. (Of course i had to push it one day to see what it could do, LOL) But after a minute of pulling and tugging it free'd up and i was back on the go.
With this in your corner you add a security blanket to your personal life, without setting yourself back hardly any at all. And in this world, security at a low price is definately a plus. Be safe, and keep on shredding!!!
