A great game, with only visual and audio limitations.
Pros:
Great game with better physics than FFT, good plot, very fun!
Cons:
Aged SNES 2d graphics, sound isn't that great.

Author's Review
I remember, back in the old days, when me and my friends used to play this great game in Japanese and had lots of fun! The graphics were great back then, and the sound was really great. Now, thanks to Atlus, everyone can enjoy this great game on the playstation. It may look antique, but it's still a classic
Tactics Ogre is a strategy rpg (Like Final Fantasy Tacics or Front Mission.) It has a great plot involving a war between 2 kingdoms, herecy, and more. But the best thing about this game is the unique battle system. You can hold up to 10 members in your party, which means there is a lot of customization to be done. Also the maps are large and sometimes very complex (even though they are 2D.) The neat thing is that there are no pheonix downs, of revives, so if a party member dies and is not revived by a spell you get late in the game, he/she is gone forever. This may sound like a bad thing, but it adds a great amount of tension/excitement to the game. Many times, unlike FFT, your party and the enemy's party are equally matched, so every battle requires a great amount of skill. The game itself can be learned in 45 minutes, but the battles take months to master.
There are some bad factors in this game. Like another review mentioned, if you do not train, which can be tedious and boring (unless you have the computer do it for you), you cannot win this game. The graphics are snes reminiscent and blocky. However they aren't bad. The same thing could be said for the sound (but there are some really good tracks.)
If you are into glitz and glammour, do not buy this game, but if you like strategy games, and a good old fashioned time, pick this one up!
