The Bottom Line: Purgatory is not to be taken seriously. Its a fantasy, even if a western, but fun with a little eerie twinge thrown in.

Review: Refuge. Everyone's welcome. Free drinks at the saloon. Free rooms at the hotel. It's not just a town... it's a place, in the state of purgatory. It's a place of hard rules. But, you can make it. It just takes dedication... and following the rules....

Pros: Very good production values for a cable TV movie

Cons: Hardly anything

The Bottom Line: A morality play, sort of a trip to the wild west via the Twilight Zone, and very well done with a good cast.

Review: Although PURGATORY is ostensibly a cowboy movie, it has deeper significances and someone could have transposed the plot (and maybe it has already been done) to a village almost anywhere in the world; imagine Brigadoon converted to the Old West.
