A must read for parents!

This is an absolute must read for all parents! You will probably not find another parenting book quite like this. Gavin DeBecker puts parenting at a completely different slant in this informative book. His writing style is very down to earth and educational.

He uses real situations and empowers parents and children in how to deal with certain situations. His advice on how to choose safe childcare or pick occasional babysitters is very important for parents to be aware of.

He also broaches subjects on how to spot sexual predators, what the signs are for sexual abuse, and some support networks for dealing with sexual abuse.

He goes into great detail about sending children off to school and how to know they are ready to walk by themselves. He teaches parents how to help their children if they become lost. Their are fantastic details about how parents can approach their schools about safety and how to become part of the solution.

This book is great because it helps eliminate old myths such as, "Never talk to strangers." I felt extremely empowered after reading this book, it has definitely helped me feel safer.
