Author's Review
I feel the basic underlying Truth to the book "PROPHET," by Frank E. Perretti is the fact that God's Way is the best way. This book deals with Truth and what happens when people run from it. They fall further and further into their own ways, their own lies, their own doom. And the only way to cover up their lies, is to make more.
One specific line that comes to mind from the book was a question to the mystery, "where are you taking us?" Where are we going in this life? What is the end result? Everyday we see new fashions, new fads, new and different ways to look and act. Where is it all taking us? We go about everyday doing our own thing, our own routine, and nobody better mess with it by golly!!! What are we doing to ourselves?
In politics we see deception, conspiracy, and the choice of life given to people who don't value it. We have more value for the baby whale than the baby human. Quality of life is decided by those who are "in charge." When in truth they are falling into themselves.
That is where the Truth comes in. If you follow the Truth you will find yourself. Everything can be lost to the Truth, your job, your way of life, your social status, everything. But you will keep the one important key to living in joy. Peace with God. The best way to understand any of what I have just said, you must read the book.
In my opinion this is the basic foundation of the book. But is by no means has anything to do with the actual story line, characters, or plot of the book. I have not revealed any clues about the story of the book. I've just tried to show you what the moral was. Hopefully I have sparked an interest.
I find the writing style of the author quite easy to follow and understand. A necessity when reading a complex book like this. This book is not for the weak minded. It takes some patience and open-mindedness to read and get the full plot from the book.
