Baby loves his bath!

What it is:
The Primo Euro Bathtub is an infant/toddler bathtub that is usable from birth to 3 years. The tub is made out of hard plastic and has the shape of an old fashioned tub. Our Primo Bathtub happens to be a cream color but I know it comes in many other colors as well. There is a drain in the bottom of the tub for letting the water out. There is also a fill line so you can see how much water you should be putting in. On the top are two indentations made to hold soap or other small items. The tub has two separate ends usable for different age ranges as described below.

For use with newborns: From birth to 6 months, you can lay baby on the sloped side with legs straddling the safety piece in the middle. This keeps baby from slipping under the water. Although there is no slip resistant padding, the sloped side is contoured on each side to keep baby in position, leaving both hands free to wash baby.

For babies able to sit: Once baby is able to sit on his own, you can move him around to the more open side of the tub. Baby can then use the center piece to hold onto. The only suggestion I would make for improvement is to make this center piece removable for once baby is older. This would provide more wiggle room.

Storage
I have seen in other reviews here that some people have had issues with storage. Personally, we keep ours out on the bathroom counter. This bathroom is primarily used for bathing the baby and this is a perfect fit. This tub can be hung though. If you had a hook on the wall (maybe one of those suction hooks for in the shower) it would take up minimal room.

Why we bought this tub
We had originally used a Fisher Price tub to bathe our son. This worked great up to about 5 months. At this time he was learning how to sit up and more importantly how to kick his legs to splash the water. Thus, it was time to get a new one.

In our search we wanted to get a tub that was free standing-did not have to be used in a regular bathtub. Our regular bathtub is an old fashion claw foot tub. Looks great in the bathroom... works horribly for a short mom and wiggly baby. Our upstairs, where we do most of our night time routine, does not have a tub.

While searching for a tub we came across the Primo Euro Bathtub and instantly fell in love with it. Note: any pictures you see on the internet do not do this tub justice. You have to see it in person to really love it. So we brought it home and our son absolutely loved being able to sit up for his bath. The first night, (at 5 1/2 months) he splashed and played for quite a while.

Now, at almost 13 months, we still use this tub and love it. I actually use the sloped side to easily rinse his hair. He cooperates quite well with this and usually enjoys kicking his legs to splash the water.
