The first game to almost make me throw up!
Pros:
Unique Amazing graphics, sound, and gameplay
Cons:
Gunfire sound and power could have been better Too easy. Makes me really dizzy
The Bottom Line:
This is a great game but is put down by the easy difficulty. I think it is worth a purchase, and it does feature multiplayer which I haven't tried yet.

Author's Review
Prey is a game that has been in development for over ten years, and it really shows, because the whole concept, physics, graphics, and gameplay are amazing.
Story
You are Tommy, a Cherokee Indian who is tired of being on his reservation. He wants to leave the reservation but his girlfriend is loyal to the reservation and she doesn't want to leave. Suddenly a giant space ship and sucks up everything on the reservation. You must go through the space ship, (aimlessly wandering for quite a bit) and just blast the aliens away who are attacking you.
Gameplay
Very rarely will you find a unique first person shooter but after playing for a half an hour of this game, you are likely to be amazed by the unique gameplay. Here are the unique factors of the game:
Portals: You are going to be constantly faced with portals through the game about the size of your body in the game and sometimes you will have to decide which portal you have to go through. This can be really odd looking and sometime you get in some crazy situations; In one part of the game, I shot myself through a portal. It really feels like the mirror maze at times at the carnival and it gets really confusing on your mind looking through all these portals.
Gravity: Sometimes you will go through a portal and you will be on the upside down on the ceiling or on the walls. This adds a lot of dizziness to the game and you are going to have to figure out which way is straight and which way is up which can take at most ten seconds to do. This is a really cool thing but at times gets a little overwhelming when people are shooting at you and you have to adjust the camera to them. Also there are these little platforms that you can shoot, and once shot they make that area where your gravity is at; Sometimes you have to be careful because you will shoot at it and you will fall off an edge. I almost threw up after playing this game for about two hours.
Spirit Mode: You can unleash your spirit to go through different rooms that you cannot go into with your regular human body, usually you have to flip a switch of some sort to get the room able to walk in with your regular body.
Death Mode: This is the big factor in the game that reduces the difficulty. When you die, you are transported to this big rock circle formation where you see pterodactyl looking creatures that are flying all around you; You have to shoot the red ones with your bow and arrow to regain life, and you have about 10-15 seconds to do so and then you are transported right where you died. Honestly, this feature makes the game too easy, and the game is pretty easy to begin with without this mode and this could have easily been absent from the game and had the same feeling to the game with just an added bit of difficulty.
So obviously the gameplay is very unique, but falls a little short of some really fun gameplay due to the very easy difficulty. The guns are pretty big and alien like but they really aren't that powerful and they just shoot just like any other first person shooter gun usually shoots and sometimes it will even hit the alien and it doesn't appear like it stuns the alien at all and you have no idea if it hurt the alien.
Graphics
The graphics look like an upped version of Doom 3, they are amazing. The environments are shiny and the character models are fantastic. Some of the enemies are a little to exaggerated in looking evil but they generally look really good.
Sound
The voiceovers are terrific in this game and surprisingly features a very good soundtrack that oddly enough has songs from bands like Blue Oyster Cult and Judas Priest. The gunfire is a little on the weak side but all the other sounds really make up for that small downside.
Final Words
The game is really a fun one, but can make you a little on the dizzy side. The game could have had a lot more added to the difficulty but every other aspect of the game is amazing.
