Fry All Day Long in the CoolDaddy Cook Touch Fryer.

I have wanted one of those Fry Daddy’s for a long time! I have a nice size 3-quart pot that I keep on my stove for frying foods in. It is a really nice pot to say the least but, sometimes I need it for other things, so it can be a little inconvenient to have to pour out the grease, clean and then reuse, clean again and put the grease back in to use again. You get the picture.

When my children asked me what I wanted for Christmas again this year I told them again, a new crockpot and one of those Fry Daddy things. Well, I got both and from the same child! And about time too since I have asking for both for several years now.

The Product

Presto Cool Daddy Cool Touch Deep Fryer is that perfect gift that my youngest daughter got me for Christmas. It has a big 6 serving capacity in a compact size. Great for any kind of chicken, shrimp, fish, hush puppies (not the dog but the food) French Fries and so much more! You can even use it without the basket if needed. This is great for large French fry orders. I don’t know about you all but my bunch loves homemade French fries! Sometimes I can’t seem to cook enough of them.

The unit also has a removable metal pot that makes it easy for cleaning. The basket is great too! You can lower the food right into your grease with no problems. The basket has a handle attached to it that you use easy enough. This basket is also designed to keep the hot grease from splattering and burning you. The basket is large enough to hold a lot of food too. The handle has a push button feature that allows you to lift the basket out as well as rest the basket on the top of the handle area. This allows you to drain the grease from the basket before moving your food to a plate or other container. Nice feature! The push button is a lock release feature that is a great safety feature for each use.

There is another push button feature found on the front of the unit that opens the lid/cover. This makes life so simple while using the Presto Cool Daddy Cool Touch Deep Fryer. The lid closes down securely and has a removable air filter, which absorbs frying odors as you cook. You can take the filter out and clean it and you can buy replacements as well. There is also a “viewing window” for you to see your food cooking. And the removable air filter is also on the top for better venting of foods.

The adjustable heating controls (thermostat) ranges from 265 degrees to 375 degrees. You can easy adjust the settings with the knob found on the front of the unit. There is even a red light that will come on when the grease is hot enough to cook with! How cool is that?! Way cool!

Also on the front of the unit you will find pictures of various foods with the suggested cooking degree for easy cooking. Cook without burning is a good thing you know.

You will even find a small cup in the back of the unit that catches excess water. Simply remove it, clean it and put it back.

The plug of the unit is very unique. In fact, I have never seen one like it at all. It has a magnet feature to it. You simply place it onto the outlet in the back bottom of the Presto Cool Daddy Cool Touch Deep Fryer and it connects with no problems. You do need to make sure that the plug is even to the unit and not turned up or down. How I Feel

I am just so happy with my new Presto Cool Daddy Cool Touch Deep Fryer and will use it for years to come. It looks very nice on my counter and now I do not have to clean up my 3-quart pot and keep it for other needed uses.

The unit cleans up well too and that I am happy with that part a lot! I love the red light indicator also. And when I am cooking several different foods in the unit, the red light comes in handy. Each time I open the unit to take out the cooked food I simply close the lid and wait for the grease to heat back up to the correct temperature and keep on going.

I was a little leery about the lid being closed while cooking and I have to admit that the first couple of times I used it I would constantly open the lid to check on the food. Normally I just cooked in my 3-quart pot with no lid. I was also concerned about the heating control and cooking of foods, but soon learned that was not a problem either. Now I just put in my foods, set my timer and know that my Presto Cool Daddy Cool Touch Deep Fryer will get the job done for me. No stirring foods or standing over a pot making sure my foods don’t burn. Way cool!

Now, I do have to say that the “cool touch” is not cool to the touch much at all. This I was very disappointed in. I expected to be able to grasp the handle to remove the basket without it being hot to the touch. Nope! Not at all. But, I will just use a potholder and go on using my Presto Cool Daddy Cool Touch Deep Fryer because it does cook food well. the sides of the unit get hot as well, so I strongly recommend having the unit where you want it on your counter before cooking. Overall, I love it and do recommend it for any home. Certainly keep small children away from it at all times.
