Worth the wait!
Pros:
It is HUGE!
Cons:
The handle broke off the lid on the 3rd use.
The Bottom Line:
Watch out for the handle on the lid. It broke off and the lid fell and scalded my leg. Other than that, this is a great skillet!

Author's Review
I have been married for almost 9 years and have always wanted an electric skillet. My mom came through for me for Christmas 2000. Opening up my gift, lo and behold, a Presto 15 Jumbo Electric Skillet!
I used this gift for the first time on New Years Eve. We were having a block party and I said I would make the fried chicken. Getting my prized possession out of the cupboard, I was grinning from ear to ear.
Before storing the skillet, after opening it up as a gift, I washed it well with hot soapy water. Then I greased it up as the manual said to do. That is called "seasoning" the pan.
Starting the skillet was easy. Plug the needle into the skillet and the plug into the outlet. Turn the knob to whatever setting you need and PRESTO! It is hot and ready to roll in only a few minutes!
On New Years Eve, I cooked 8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts at one time! They actually all fit in! The chicken was cooked very evenly and not burned at all. The lid has a good, firm fit to it and it really sped up the cooking time.
Cleaning was as easy as pie. Unplug it from the wall, take the needle out of the skillet and wash in hot soapy water. Then to make sure it was really clean, I threw it in the dishwasher. You can do that, It is dishwasher safe! And it came out sparkling clean!!!
The pan has a nonstick coating to it. Also the outsides of the pan are VERY easy to wipe up. In fact, all I had to use was a sponge, not even a scrubby.
I cannot rave enough about this skillet. It has really been worth the wait and I would recommend it highly!
