Review: I got my wife A Presto 15-inch Electric Jumbo Skillet. This is the biggest skillet of this type I've noticed. The skillet fries, grills, roasts, and stews. A new feature about the Presto skillet is the EverNu cover, it won't dent, scratch, warp, peel, ...

Worth the wait!

by   MAplumlee ,  Jan 9, 2001
Pros: It is HUGE!
Cons: The handle broke off the lid on the 3rd use.
The Bottom Line: Watch out for the handle on the lid. It broke off and the lid fell and scalded my leg. Other than that, this is a great skillet!

One of the most versatile and multi-purpose kitchen appliances

by   Pisces ,  Oct 16, 2001
Pros: High capacity for high volume cooking. Functional design. Deep, high dome lid.
Cons: Teflon coating. Durability. Why is Presto the only manufacturer making a 15-inch electric fry pan?
The Bottom Line: Electric, even-heating temperature control means not having to fiddle with stove dials and no burnt food! However, It'd be nice if a cookware manufacturer would make a STAINLESS-STEEL electric skillet!
Review: Why a 15-inch electric skillet? It is always easier to prepare food in large quantities than to continually have to prepare small amounts of the same dish at every meal. I am a big fan of cooking in bulk. "Once a month" cooking is easy via a good size...

Great idea, but cheaply made

by   boris1957 ,  Oct 28, 2001
Pros: Nice size and shape, easy to clean
Cons: Non-stick coating started to blister and peel after about six months of careful use.
The Bottom Line: Nice overall design, cheaply executed- I won't be replacing this with the same brand.
Review: I wish to be brief here... I mean how much can you say about an electric frying pan? I purchased this on sale at a local dept store, hoping I was getting something durable; my parents had owned Presto cook ware that lasted for three decades- but that's...

Cons: Not very durable!Non-stick coating peeling after 5 months!
The Bottom Line: It has worked great, but am now afraid to use it.I am very unhappy with the quality of the non-stick surface.
Review: I am very unhappy with my cooker! After 5 months of normal use the non-stick coating is peeling and getting into my food!I am afraid to use it now because I do not know if the coating is harmful to my family.Besides this problem, it is a nice cooker,very...

presto teflon peeling

by   saalfeldk ,  Feb 2, 2007
Pros: Size and convenience
Cons: Teflon coating peels off
Review: I have had my skillet for quite a few years and love it for every reason except the interior finish. The teflon has started to blister and then peeled off. When this happened once before, Presto replaced it for me. Now they say it's been too long. I ...
